About
Inspired by the America’s Cup in Bermuda, Sebastian Kempe set his sights on the Olympics from a young age. After winning the 2021 Youth World Championship and securing 2nd place in 2022, he immediately transitioned to the elite level of senior competition.
At just 18, competing in the Men’s fleet, Sebastian made history as the first Bermudian to reach the Gold Fleet at the 2023 Men’s World Championships in the modern era. While he narrowly missed qualifying Bermuda for an Olympic spot in the short 2024 campaign, he continued his momentum into 2025 by securing a silver medal at the Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay.
His focus is now on the LA 2028 Olympic Games and 2032 Brisbane Games. Sebastian has the talent and drive to succeed against the world’s best, having already achieved significant results, including:

7 top-15 finishes at World Championships
15th place finish at the 2025 French Olympic Sailing Week
Quickly risen to 37th in the world ranking – the highest ever for Bermuda.
